PEX HEARTBURN 6 :: Dr. Carlos Allende's Lost Caravan of Love

Dr. Carlos Allende’s Lost Caravan of Love

Welcome – one and all – to Dr. Allende’s often disputed but never denied, mysterious and magical Lost Caravan of Love. From times gone by or impending spectacles yet to be seen on this side of the wormh…ole, journey with us as the amorous contents of Carlos’ celestial gypsy wagon are spilled throughout the night.

Time: 10pm – 4am
Location: Unknown
(But Carlos has told us this: it is in Center City Philadelphia, minutes from city hall, has some on-site parking and plenty of street parking. Also close to public transportation and easy to get to by taxi)

KING BRITT (http://www.kingbritt.com)
King Britt is a pioneer of all things soulful, rhythmically textured and melodically provocative. This Philadelphia native has found a way to escape the strictures of a single category of music by expressing his creations through deep house, hip-hop, broken beat, nu-jazz, funk and afro-tech. Whether it’s film scoring for Hollywood, rocking a dancefloor in Tokyo or consulting for the leading urban lifestyle brands, there are no limits to what King Britt will do next. – the DJ List

JUSTIN PAUL (http://www.justinpaul.com)
Justin Paul is the founder and creator of Playloop Music™, he’s an acclaimed DJ, educator, producer, remixer, video director/producer and devout music historian. As a touring DJ, Justin has appeared in hundreds of clubs, concerts, festivals and parties between both coasts and around the world. In addition, he has played alongside the likes of Air, Bassnectar, Crystal Method, Deadmau5, DJ Colette, Disco Biscuits, King Britt, Mstrkrft, Orbital, Prodigy, Spongle, Thievery Corporation, Younger Brother, Zero 7 and more.

SEPALCURE (http://www.myspace.com/sepalcure)
Sepalcure’s combination of love for bass and 90s house acapellas is the culmination of a cathartic two week collaboration between Machinedrum and Praveen. Their mix of tribal dub, house and two step beats works equally well for both late nights in the club and rainy, introspective nights at home. Detroit techno chords cut through wooden beats, neon synths and dubbed out atmospherics.

NOVA DREAM SEQUENCE (King Britt) | Dream #4 | Directed by Justin Paul

Nova Dream Sequence ( King Britt ) Dream #4 | Directed, Edited & Shot by Justin Paul | Shot on a very foggy night in Northern Liberties Philadelphia after several beers at the Standard Tap. We used an old school Sony TRV900 miniDV camera and Final Cut Pro 5 to create this piece in about 24 hours. Motorola placed the video on their first iTunes phone and featured it at Winter Music Conference 2005.
